Reccomended diet, sleep and exercise

This is from the Indian point of view. You can find your own country’s equivalent. For those who are still in their prime, who want to loose weight, and gain that energy and verve.

Recommended diet without hurting yourself

Morning: 1 glass lukewarm water with 1 lemon and one teaspoon honey after brush.
After the morning “karmas” (7:00 AM): 3/4th cup tea, coffee, or milk with 2 biscuits or bread (without butter and cream)
Breakfast (8: – 8:30 AM): 2 chapati’s with curd (salted), and a little leafy veggy. Or 2 idly’s without sambar (only chutney), or 1 vada with chutney only, no sambar.
Mid-day meal (10:30-11 am): 1-2 cucumbers with salt and lemon, and 1 glass of curd with salt and pepper.
12 noon: 2 biscuits, preferably without cream, and two glasses of water.
Lunch (1:00 PM): 2 chapatis or one bowl rice, with one green veggy without too much masala and oil. 1 cup curd, and green salad without cream.
2:30 PM: 2 biscuits, with cream allowed and one cup tea, coffee, milk or badam milk.
4: 00 PM: 2 chapatis with green vegetables without too much masala and oil.
7: 00 PM (dinner): 2 chapatis with curd, yellow daal, and green veggy.
8:00 PM: one cup black or lime tea.
9:00 PM hit bed.

Recommended: 12 -15 glasses of water a day.

Other goodies: 2 pieces of chicken a week, 2 sweets a week (no pastries), coke/cola: 1 small not more than once a fortnight, 1 small lays chips once a week, and other things you like in small moderate proportions. Avoid oil and masala, and too many eggs.

Still feeling hungry: Eat cucumber as many as you want.

Still hungry: See your physician.

Recommended exercise
Start with 20 minutes of brisk walk, and take it to 50 minutes to an hour, preferably in the morning.

People who are in stressful jobs, add 30 minutes of cardio (jogging, treadmill) till your heart starts pumping, and you sweat a little. Avoid if you are a heavy smoker, can lead to cardiac arrest. Avoid weights also if you are a heavy smoker, same thing.

To loose flab on your hips, abdomen, thighs, and torso there are specific exercises that you can do at home. Consult a good instructor to teach you how  to do that correctly. Talwarkar’s is a good place to go for that.

Sleep at least 8 hours if you can, and keep it regular. Avoid going to bed late, and waking up late. Does not help in the long run.
